It is a unique environment for you and your family, with its wide open pedestrian friendly spaces and natural surroundings, you can enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. If it’s swimming and sunbathing on the beach you’re after, you can enjoy the crystal clear warm water, which reaches a high of 27 degrees in hot summer months and provides for perfect swimming and water sport conditions.

Water sports include the famous cable water ski and entices professional and learning ski or wakeboard go-ers to test out the cable and show off their skills on the water. Along with the cable, are your less strenuous water sports such as canoeing and stand up paddling which is fun for everyone! The Lake also provides a safe diving environment and is used by many divers for practice dive sessions, even the Navy have used the Lake for their training programmes.

For those who prefer to soak up the sun, the beach is the perfect place to relax and has the view of the activities on the lake. Little ones can build their sand castles or play beach volleyball under the safe watch of their parents. The open, pedestrian friendly area’s serve as play area’s for children to play ball sports or can be used as picnic spots or simply a quiet place to relax and read a book while enjoying the fresh air.

Sports go-ers and fitness fanatics will be happy to know that there are various sports facilities to choose from. Blue Rock Village offers outdoor walking trails for less strenuous exercise and vita parcour, which allows its users to exercise at their own pace. Safe and child friendly too. This encourages families to enjoy the activity outdoors together. Adrenaline seekers will be keen to know that there are various rock jumping points as well as a fufi slide that starts at the very top of the quarry and descends into the water.

Other sports and facilities include a tennis court, volleyball court and Boggia (bowls). A wide selection available for anyone that decides to live in the village.
